Upcoming Exhibition: “Taketoshi Ito Solo Exhibition 2026”

HULS Gallery is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in Singapore by ceramic artist Taketoshi Ito, held at our Duxton Hill gallery. Running from 24th April to 8th May 2026, the exhibition will feature over 80 works, including tea ware, sake ware, and sculptural objects.

Based in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, Taketoshi Ito is a ceramic artist whose work has been presented both in Japan and internationally. He is known for his distinctive style, characterized by intricate openwork carving and finely detailed surface decoration, through which he creates works of refined precision and quiet elegance. Ito’s practice extends beyond conventional boundaries, presenting a refined and contemporary interpretation of ceramic art. His works, often reminiscent of metal in their appearance, are in fact meticulously hand-crafted, reflecting a disciplined and deeply considered approach to form and material. This exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Ito’s practice, inviting visitors to experience a body of work that moves seamlessly between functional vessels and sculptural expression.

The artist will be present at the gallery on 24th and 25th April, offering a rare opportunity to engage directly with his work.
