This October, HULS Gallery will be presenting a promotional event for Arita ware, originating from Saga Prefecture and renowned for its 400 year history in producing porcelain ware. An artisan from Riso Porcelain will be on-site to demonstrate the “Sometsuke” hand painting technique, involving the use of a brush on unglazed vessels. This presents a unique opportunity to witness the artisan’s expertise and precision in craft, offering a valuable glimpse into the professional process of creating Japanese crafts.
