Ms. Chiemi Ogura was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1982. She majored in bamboo crafts at the Kyoto Traditional Crafts College and later set up a workshop with her classmates in 2004. She became an independent artist in 2011, and her works were exhibited in Japan as well as overseas (2014 Japan Expo Paris WABI SABI Pavilion). Ms. Ogura pursues universal beauty and is particular about each expression through exquisite delicate weaving. She uses traditional patterns and decorative techniques to create works that touch the hearts of people like blooming flowers.
