Ceramic artist living in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. He is the next successor of the Sakakura Shinbei kiln of Fukawa-Hagi which has a history of about 360 years. Apart from using the traditional Hagi clay such as “Daido-tsuchi”, he also uses the clay he collected around the neighborhood. He utilizes the texture of the materials to create a wide range of works such as tea wares and art pieces.
