Ms. Nami Takahashi was born in 1973 in Tokyo. She studied ceramic techniques at Musashino Art University and the National School of Ceramic Art in Faenza, Italy. In 2016, she was awarded “Best Young Artist” Prize at the 63rd Japan Traditional Kogei Art Crafts Exhibition. Later her works were also exhibited in Hong Kong, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Ms Takahashi mainly produces white porcelain works through the Ikomi casting method, which enhances the clean shapes and shadows. She pursues art expression based on the beauty of natural forms, as seen in fruits and seeds of plants.
