Ms. Saori Yamazaki was born in 1975 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido Prefecture. After studying ceramics in Mashiko and Kasama, she became an independent ceramic artist. She now lives in Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture, and specialises in making ceramic teawares such as teapots and houhins. Ms. Yamazaki’s works are not only sought after by locals but overseas as well for being both functional and beautiful. The elegant and delicate teapots are meticulously crafted to prevent any dripping from the spout onto the sides.
